Was not aware these were made, but saw one on my drive home today. Did a little research and apparently this company will make you one for a cool 10K!

Yeah, they are custom, and...well...they don't look great. 10k badly spent.

That person must really hate jeeps to drop 10K on top of the price of an FJ. Or they have a desperate desire to be unique.

No they don't look good at all. To think he could have had 2 restored FJ40s for what he paid for that abomination.

boy i wish Toyota had lots the opportunity to make the FJ like the wrangler:
cheap and open and true to form.
Not this badly reskined prado thats too expensive continue selling.

Good point about the Jeeps. He could have bought a nice Land Rover Defender 90 instead and still have some money left over for the inevitable repair bills.

That's true. That would have been much more unique and way cooler.

Just saw one of these last week in the Bay Area. We were headed onto different freeways and my wife had a lackluster response to get her camera out so no pic. While I agree it is ugly and likely hampers visibility / utility in the rear I do like that someone made the attempt. Maybe a better version would be a sliding top versus opening the whole rear up. Maybe ver 2.0 will be better... or not.
